Neighbours' Toadie and Terese to make breakthrough after split

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Toadie Rebecchi and Terese Willis are set to make a breakthrough in their relationship following their bitter split.

The couple parted ways last month after Terese discovered that Toadie had cheated on her with his ex-wife Melanie Pearson, with Terese making it clear to Toadie there was no saving their marriage after this betrayal.

A defeated Toadie then headed to the US for a few weeks with his children, but he’ll return to Erinsborough next week and attempt to convince Terese that he’s worthy of another chance.

After returning from the US, Toadie's teen daughter Nell is concerned to find Terese holed up in her bedroom with food poisoning.

Nell then calls Toadie, who takes it upon himself to care for Terese until she starts feeling better.

Paul Robinson also rushes to the house to help Terese when he hears she has fallen ill, but is dismayed to find Toadie by her side.

With Paul now shut out, Toadie uses this one-on-one time with Terese to express his regrets, admitting he should have taken time to confront the hard parts of losing Melanie before embarking on another marriage.

Terese later does some of her own reflecting and admits that she was also guilty of rushing into a relationship with Toadie, instead of taking the time to properly move on from Paul.

Will this honest conversation ignite a spark and bring Toadie and Terese back together again?
