One person dead, another injured after late-night shooting in Livingston, deputies say

One man is dead and another adult male was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting in Livingston occurred late Friday night, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.

Merced County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting just before midnight Friday in the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Westside Boulevard in Livingston, according to a social media post by the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived, they located an adult male who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The man was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after, deputies responded to a report of another individual who was shot. Deputies arrived at a residence in the 4000 block of Sunset Drive in Livingston and found a deceased adult male.

The deceased male suffered his gunshot wounds at the shooting that occurred in the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Westside Boulevard, according to Merced County Sheriff’s Office deputy Michael Domingue.

Dominigue says no suspects have been identified at this time and detectives believe the shooting occurred after a disagreement.
