Penn State football players were honored on All-Big Ten offense, including 1 on the first team

The Big Ten announced its offensive awards Wednesday, and 12 Nittany Lions were honored for their play during the 2023 season.

OT Olu Fashanu led the way, earning the Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year award and making the first team for both the coaches and the media.

Fashanu is widely projected as a top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and has been one of the best offensive linemen in the country this year.

He was the lone Nittany Lion to make either first team, but was not the only one honored.

Center Hunter Nourzad was named to the second team by the coaches and the media while RB Kaytron Allen was named to the second team by the coaches.

Nourzad helped pave the way in the running game for a rushing attack that the offense frequently leaned on this season. Allen was the team’s leading rusher this year, racking up 851 yards on 162 carries to go with six rushing touchdowns. He added 14 receptions for 81 yards and a receiving touchdown while continuing to be an adept pass blocker. Allen closed the regular season with his biggest performance, running 15 times for 137 yards against Michigan State.

His position mate — RB Nick Singleton — was named to the third team by the coaches and media after leading the team in rushing touchdowns with eight. He ran the ball 163 times for 702 yards this season.

TE Tyler Warren was named to the third team by the coaches and honorable mention by the media after he led the Big Ten’s tight ends in touchdown receptions with seven.

Those players were joined by several players who made the honorable mention — QB Drew Allar (coaches and media), TE Theo Johnson (coaches and media), WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith (coaches and media), OG JB Nelson (coaches and media), OT Caedan Wallace (coaches and media), OG Sal Wormley (coaches and media) and OG Vega Ioane (media).
