Competitors take a tumble during Gloucestershire cheese race

Dozens of competitors rolled, tumbled and somersaulted down Cooper's Hill after a 8lb round piece of double Gloucester. The annual cheese rolling event was held unofficially this year under the watchful eye of police after it was cancelled for health and safety reasons in 2010. The bizarre competition, has a worldwide following and has been celebrated for centuries, took place Cooper's Hill at Brockworth.
