At the beginning of the invasion, Russians shot ten people on outskirts of Chornobaivka

At the start of the war, Russian soldiers shot and killed ten residents of Chornobaivka with rifles, the Kherson Oblast Department for Investigation of Crimes Committed in the Conditions of Armed Conflict reported on Telegram on May 10.

The agency stated that between Feb. 24-28, 2022, Russian soldiers gunned down ten local men, aged 23 to 53, on the outskirts of Chornobaivka.

The police are currently gathering evidence and identifying witnesses.

On Feb. 27, Russian troops captured Ukrainian ammunition warehouses in Chornobaivka. During the winter campaign, Ukraine's Armed Forces launched successful strikes multiple times on Russian positions at the local airfield.

The village was liberated from Russian occupation on Nov. 11, 2022.
