“RHONY” star Jessel Taank shares 'wild' Hurricane Beryl vacation footage

"We're sort of in the thick of it!" posted the "Real Housewives of New York City" cast member, who was in Jamaica with her husband and 3-year-old twin sons during the storm.

Jessel Taank is reporting live from Jamaica as Hurricane Beryl barrels through the Caribbean.

The Real Housewives of New York City star shared a number of posts showing her family sheltering indoors as the massive hurricane made landfall at Half Moon, a luxury resort in Montego Bay where she’s vacationing with her husband Pavit Randhawa and their twin sons.

Taank’s first video begins with her attempting to open the door to her balcony, only to have strong wind slam it shut before she can step outside.

“Oh my God, wow,” she exclaims. “We’re sort of in the thick of it. Holy s---. Wow, oh my God. Wild.”

Fortunately, the resort was so well-prepared that safety didn’t seem to be a concern for Taank — instead, most of her other posts revolve around filling the hours of boredom for her family.

“Entertaining toddlers during a category 5 hurricane with no electricity,” she captioned another video of her kids running around a table.

Randhawa also posted similar footage of the storm on his Instagram story, with sarcastic captions like “Finally had to leave the pool, They ran out of Miami vices” and “Ubers are taking really long today for some reason.”

Taank later posted another video from inside.

“We have no electricity, and we’ve been sitting in the dark for frickin’ five hours now,” she said in another video, which showed footage of a dark living room lit by a few candles and the glow of her kids’ screens. After she asks one of her sons what the family plans to eat for dinner, he responds, “Cereal!”

Three hours later, Taank posted an update.

“It’s over,” she wrote. “Thank you to the amazing staff [at Half Moon Jamaica] for thinking through every detail and making sure we were all safe.”

Her most recent post shows her husband and one of her sons soaking up the sun at the beach, without any indication that they’d just endured a massive storm.

Taank joined RHONY for its 14th season in 2023 and will return alongside Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, and Brynn Whitfield for season 15, which will also add Racquel Chevremont as a full-time housewife and Rebecca Minkoff as a friend of the full-time cast members.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Grenada on Monday, where it damaged 98 percent of buildings on Carriacou and Petite Martinique, The New York Times reports. Eight people have died in the storm so far.

Beryl was the first major hurricane to hit Jamaica since 2007 and is expected to hit the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico late Thursday and early Friday, according to ABC News. After weakening from Category 3 to Category 2 conditions, the storm may fall to a Category 1 event when it hits Mexico, but may increase intensity again as it approaches the United States border early next week.
