Rita Ora’s 2024 Met Gala Look Leaves Less Than Usual to the Imagination

Were you expecting a mostly nude Rita Ora Met Gala 2024 look? Of course you were. But could you have imagined the beaded Tom Ford ensemble she ended up wearing? Impossible.
Ora took a biblical approach to the night's “Garden of Time” dress code, wearing strings of multicolored beads over a sheer nude bodysuit. It's giving “checkout time at the Garden of Eden.” Some of the beads on Ora's gown, she told Vogue, are from the first and second century BC, which is “older than anyone on this planet.” Frankly, that's older than a good percentage of the Met Museum's actual collection of artifacts.
Ora's dress does not attach at the sides at all, so the skin-toned bodysuit underneath gives the illusion that the singer is almost completely naked under her strings of beads. To keep the naked look consistent, Ora's strappy high-heel sandals were also nude-colored. The glam, however, was slightly less understated, with a messy wet hair look and blue eye shadow.
If Rita Ora's 2024 Met Gala look had an accessory, it might be her husband, Taika Waititi. In contrast to Ora's less-is-more approach, the filmmaker wore a head-to-toe brown leather suit—including the shirt and tie—which we're guessing wouldn't have been found in the first century BC.
