Spanish star Rosalía is back at the Met Gala with a new stylist. After making her Met Gala debut back in 2022 with Givenchy's then-creative director Matthew Williams, Rosalía has graced the Met Gala 2024 red carpet, this time in Dior Haute Couture that took 1,800 hours to make.
Speaking on the red carpet, Rosalía explained she went for an all-black look after going for a literal interpretation of “Sleeping Beauties.” The Spaniard explained to her that the thing you see before you go and dream when you close your eyes is just black, so she decided to transform herself into “a black tulip” for the night, pairing her sober couture with timeless millinery. Rosalía's Met Gala 2024 moment arrives after a weekend full of knockout-style moments from the star, who seems to have joined forces with Dua Lipa's former stylist, Lorenzo Posocco.
The first look on the Rosalía-Posocco alliance was a stunning black satin gown that the singer wore to a Tiffany & Co. event in the city, where she met up with BLACKPINK's Rosé and Ayo Edebiri. (She also very casually received a watermelon with her portrait hand-carved on it wearing this look.)
The second look was a trompe l'oeil LBD made with a jacket with a bird tailback from Alexander McQueen that she rocked during an appearance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she also accessorized with a Rainbow K earring. The third look was a stunning Celine fall-winter 2024 pompom dress, which she wore with Gentle Monster sunglasses.
Third time might be the charm, but if you follow Rosalía, you'd know that she always saves the best for last and this Met Gala look is the perfect proof.
