Royal, Connell preparing for 1st round Class 1A WA state football. Small school roundup

Lance Allred was 18 for 21 passing for 352 yards and four TD passes, leading the host Royal Knights over the Naches Valley Rangers 42-0 in a crossover football playoff game last Friday.

No. 1-ranked Royal will open the 1A state playoffs with a 4 p.m., Friday, game at home against No. 16 Eatonville.

Case Christensen added 6 catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns for Royal, which is now 9-0.

CONNELL 24, LA SALLE 21: Carson Lloyd passed for 185 yards and two touchdowns to lead Connell over La Salle in a 1A SCAC crossover playoff game on Friday night.

Jackson Forsyth added 142 yards rushing on 34 carries for the Eagles, who are a No. 14 seed for the 1A state playoffs.

Kellen Riner added 3 catches for 113 yards receiving for Connell.

The Eagles’ defense was led by Max Andersen, who had an interception and 12 tackles.

Connell will play No. 3 Lynden Christian in a 1A first-round state playoff game at 4 p.m. Friday at Blaine High School.

RIVER VIEW 58, KITTITAS/THORP 10: The host Panthers rolled to a 2B EWAC crossover victory on Friday night, earning a spot into the 2B state playoffs.

Hyatt Clark passed for 261 yards for River View, while Connor Harper caught 5 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

Karson Rawlings added 94 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 12 carries.

Cody Brown touched the football twice, rushing for a 70-yard TD on one carry, while running for 38 yards on another carry.

River View is seeded eighth into the 2B state tournament, and it will play No. 9 Asotin at 7 p.m., Friday, at Fran Rish Stadium in Richland.

Liberty Christian will have a first-round bye in the 1B state playoffs. As the No. 4 seed, the Richland schools must wait to play Nov. 17 or 18.

The Patriots will take on the winner No. 12 Winlock vs. No. 5 Neah Bay, which is set for 5 p.m., Friday at Neah Bay High School.
