Here’s what the Sacramento Kings are doing for Fan Fest and how you can get free tickets

The Kings will unveil their new City Edition jerseys and introduce their team for the 2023-24 NBA season during Fan Fest festivities Saturday at Golden 1 Center.

The annual event will feature an open practice, a skills challenge involving players and coaches, and a rookie talent show. Admission is free for fans of all ages with complimentary tickets available at Kings.com/FanFest. Fans can also purchase a VIP package, which includes reserved courtside seating, Lexus Lounge access, a Kings alumni experience and more.

Season ticket holders will have early access to the arena at 1 p.m. with doors opening to the general public at 1:30 p.m. Fans will enter through the grand entrance to find a display of the team’s new uniform and historic memorabilia reflecting 100 years of Kings basketball dating back to the franchise’s founding in Rochester, New York in 1923.

Kings DJs will provide musical entertainment with performances from the Kings Dancers and mascots Slamson and Dunkson. Other Kings personalities who will make appearances include Kings alumni, Scott Freshour, Scott Moak and NBC Sports broadcasters Kayte Christensen, Kyle Draper, Morgan Ragan and Matt Barnes.

The Kings said fans will also have access to a kids zone on the Bridge Level with games and activities, including balloon artists, a balloon tunnel, a coloring wall, pop-a-shots and an NBA 2K tournament. Fans can also try new Local Eats menu items with 50% discounts on fan favorite food items.

Kids ages 6-14 can participate in a Jr. Kings youth basketball clinic. Spots for the youth clinic are limited and can be purchased at Kings.com/JrKings.

Excitement is building in Sacramento as the Kings prepare for next week’s season opener against the Utah Jazz at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Kings will conclude preseason at home against the Jazz on Thursday after visiting the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

Coach Mike Brown is back for his second season after leading the Kings to the playoffs for the first time since 2006 to become the first unanimous winner of the NBA Coach of the Year award. The Kings return the All-NBA duo of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Harrison Barnes, Davion Mitchell, Malik Monk, Trey Lyles, Alex Len and Kessler Edwards after winning 48 games to secure the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference last season. The team also has a few new additions, including Chris Duarte, Sasha Vezenkov and JaVale McGee.
