Tornado sirens blared in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on Saturday, January 1, as damage was reported in downtown areas.

The National Weather Service issued several tornado warnings for parts of southern Kentucky on Saturday, with swaths of the state under a tornado watch until early Saturday evening.
