Slowdowns likely as overnight snow showers blanket South Coast
A stubborn storm hugging the West Coast brought a wintry start to March across British Columbia.
One last round of precipitation pushing across the South Coast overnight Sunday and into Monday morning will bring snow down to lower elevations, including portions of Metro Vancouver.

An unsettled weekend across B.C. arrived courtesy of a stalled low-pressure system lurking just off the coast. Moisture flowing ashore with cold temperatures aloft created the perfect setup for snow to fall across mountains and lower elevations alike.
Expect a final round of snow showers to swing across the South Coast heading into Sunday night and early Monday morning.
Borderline temperatures will allow freezing levels to fall quite low, offering up a renewed opportunity for snow showers across higher neighbourhoods across Metro Vancouver.
The spotty nature of the snow showers will make for highly variable totals across the region. However, areas that see heavier bursts of snow will contend with snow-covered roads.
Any snow that manages to stick will lead to dangerous driving conditions and slow traffic, especially heading into the Monday morning commute
Plan for rapidly changing conditions over short distances, and build a little extra time into your morning routine in case you run into any delays.

Conditions should settle down a bit behind this system as calmer skies and more seasonable temperature spread over the South Coast and Vancouver Island through the middle of the week.
Forecasters see a potential for active weather to arrive on the coast again next weekend and heading into next week.
