Strictly’s Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu reunite for "wholesome weekend"
Strictly Come Dancing stars Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu have reunited, with the pair enjoying a “wholesome weekend”.
The duo danced together in the latest series of the BBC show, eventually making it to Week 10 before being eliminated from the competition.
The pair formed a close bond on the show and have now reunited two weeks after their exit, with Angela sharing a collection of photos on Instagram.

“A thoroughly wholesome weekend,” wrote Angela alongside a heart emoji in the caption, with the pics including Carlos wheeling a buggy for her daughter, Ruby.
Angela shared a statement following their exit from the show, which came after they were defeated in the dance-off by Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, with the presenter describing the Strictly journey as a “wild ride”.
“Over and out. What a wild ride it’s been, feels like it’s been cut a little short but maybe there’s a bigger plan,” she began. “When I signed up to do Strictly, I hoped I’d leave the show with an arse like Kim Kardashian & a few killer moves for family weddings.
“What I hadn’t anticipated (and maybe it’s still too early to really feel through the sobs) is how much growth there would really be (not just my glutes). To get out there every week in front of millions with no control, as a recovering perfectionist, was HARD…

“But… to dance every week was easy. To feel his belief and faith. To laugh. To pick each other up. To share food & ideas & vulnerability. To stand under the lights with this man’s arm around me, was easy.”
The finalists for this year’s series were decided at the weekend, with Layton being joined by Bobby Brazier and Ellie Leach in the showpiece event after Annabel Croft was eliminated at the final hurdle.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
