Taskmaster confirms Champion of Champions 3 release date in trailer

Taskmaster has unveiled the first full trailer for its upcoming Champion of Champions III series.
The new-look footage revealed all five returning contestants wandering around a task site trying to find a missing Lil' Alex Horne. The clip concluded with the exciting confirmation that the all-star series premieres on January 14 on Channel 4.
This year's Champion of Champions will include series 11 winner Sarah Kendall, series 12 winner Morgana Robinson, series 13 winner Sophie Duker, series 14 winner Dara Ó Briain and a surprise addition: Kiell Smith-Bynoe!
Kiell is filling in for fellow series 15 contestant (and winner) Mae Martin, who was, unfortunately, unable to take part in Champion of Champions III due to their filming commitments in the US.
Mae addressed their announcement by telling Taskmaster fans: "I am absolutely fuming at the fact that I am unable to participate in Taskmaster's Champion of Champions.
"I would love nothing more than to fight for the title of ultimate champion and spend another week of my life being ridiculed by Greg. I am, however, confident in the choice to send Kiell to fight on my behalf. He is an agile and profoundly competitive young man, and also much much cooler and funnier than me, so we should have it in the bag."
Mae has backed Kiell to become the first Taskmaster contestant to win Champion of Champions... without actually being a champion to begin with!
"Good luck, Kiell. I am holding my breath from the US and rooting for you," they said.
It has been a busy time for Taskmaster fans, as the series 16 winner was recently announced and the show crowned its latest New Year's Treat winner on Tuesday night.
Taskmaster will return later this year for series 17 and another Champion of Champions series on Channel 4, where you can also stream previous series.
