Taylor Swift’s latest fashion choice will be financial boon for Chiefs’ Travis Kelce

It would be disingenuous to say that all eyes were on Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, international singing sensation Taylor Swift, at Coachella on Saturday night.

I mean, people came to see the bands and listen to live music.

But plenty of people sneaked a peek at the celebrity couple and more than a few shot photos and videos.

That’s how Swifties came to fixate on what Swift had on her head: A green New Heights cap.

“New Heights” is the podcast that Kelce co-hosts with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. And Swift showed her support for her boyfriend with that hat.

It’ll also make Travis Kelce some money because fans snap up whatever Swift wears.

This is from a Business Insider story on Swift’s impact on the fashion world: “Swift’s wearing one of your pieces is more than just a celebrity cameo — it’s a bona fide business boom. It can be a huge opportunity for businesses, but it also needs to be navigated carefully. An influx of orders can be a double-edged sword for some businesses as they wrestle with how much more inventory and staff they need to add to accommodate the surge.”

That’s been the case with the “New Heights” cap.

On the latest “New Heights” podcast, the Kelce brothers talked about getting the Swift bump.

“A big ‘New Heights’ supporter,” Jason Kelce said of Swift. “Sold out of the green hat real quick.”

Travis Kelce added: “It’s a good color green.”

At roughly 2:30 p.m. on Monday, the “New Heights” podcast shared a message on X about the caps being available once again.

Less than an hour later, there was a message on the website that sells “New Heights” merchandise saying the green caps wouldn’t ship until May 7. A few hours later, that date was pushed back two weeks.

Fans were clearly snapping up the caps, and that’s great news for Travis Kelce, who will get a cut of the profits because it’s his podcast.
