The episode started with a mock-wedding group date with Erika, Evalin, Jess, Kelsey T., Lauren, Lexi, Maria, Rachel and Taylor, with all the women picking out wedding dresses to wear.
The challenge was inspired by a wedding reception, with everyone playing a game of musical chairs to determine who will sit next to Joey. Evalin impressively leaped over the table, but still couldn't snag a spot next to Joey. Maria, the 29-year-old Canadian from Kleinburg, Ont., and 28-year-old Lauren from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, snagged those spots.
But Lauren wasn't feeling particularly into the moment, thinking about how her dad recently passed away and he won't be at her future wedding.
After 26-year-old Rachel from Hawaii gave a toast for the night, Joey decided to give her the "first dance," with Michael Bolton performing "When a Man Loves a Woman."
What happened between Maria and Madina on 'The Bachelor'
Maria clearly has been hitting things off with Joey.
In some one-on-one time after the wedding-inspired group date, she told him how attracted she is to him, doing a cheeky outfit change before the pair shared some kisses.
But then things got complicated with the other women on the show.
Sydney told 31-year-old Madina she overheard Maria say, "well I'm old too," after Madina opened up about being the oldest woman on the show.
"Does being my age make you upset?" Maria said when she went to speak to Madina.
"It made it feel like you didn’t think that that was a valid reason to be upset," Madina said in response.
After Maria talked to Sydney about why that was brought up to Madina, Sydney said she thinks Maria is "annoying" and a "problem." With Maria calling the spat the "dumbest fight" that's happened on The Bachelor.
The episode ended with Maria saying that she knows she can't trust Sydney.
What happened during Daisy's date with Joey?
After snagging a one-on-one date with Joey, 25-year-old Daisy from Becker, Minnesota opened up about her health.
The pair started with a helicopter ride and then went to a music festival, but while sharing an intimate meal together, Daisy revealed to Joey that when she was 11 years-old she started experiencing "stoke-like seizures." When she was 17, her dad was waking her up but she realized she couldn't hear him.
Daisy's health kept deteriorating and was eventually treated for Lyme disease in Germany, and has felt better following that treatment.
But Daisy wears a cochlear implant to hear, due to Ménière's disease, with symptoms including hearing loss.
Joey gave Daisy a rose, saying that he was impressed by her "inspiring" story.
'The Bachelor' alums Demi Burnett and Jubliee Sharpe make an appearance
The second group date was the "Paint Battle Royale," with a special appearance from The Bachelor alums Demi Burnett and Jubliee Sharpe. It was a combination of capture the flag and paintball, where the women were split into two teams, having to retrieve a pink heart to get more time with Joey.
The "more time" was really just for one person, given to Edwina, the 25-year-old from Atlanta.
During her one-on-one time, Edwina talked to Joey about growing up in an African household and feeling the pressure to be the "mother of the house" when she was very young. Joey gave Edwina a rose at the end of the date.
What happened to Lauren on 'The Bachelor' Season 28
Lauren entered the Bachelor mansion with her sister, Allison, but after Lauren felt she wasn't given enough time with Joey, she decided to pull the plug and leave.
In an odd moment, teased at the beginning of the episode, Lauren was clearly not in a good mood as she went to tell Joey her decision. Lauren wanted have a red velvet cake brought out as she was talking to him, but she ended up just throwing a tantrum when it wasn't in fact red velvet, smashing the cake to the ground.
Who got a rose on 'The Bachelor'
The close out the episode, Joey gave roses to Autumn, Allison, Chrissa, Evalin, Jen, Katelyn, Kelsey A., Kelsey T., Lea, Lexi, Madina, Maria, Rachel, Starr and Sydney. As well as Jess, Edwina and Daisy.
Who went home on 'The Bachelor'
In addition to Lauren leaving the mansion herself, Erika, Marlena and Taylor were sent home by Joey.
