Over a billion people’s hopes were set on the shoulders of 25-year-old Kamalpreet Kaur who made it to the finals of the women’s discus throw at the Tokyo Games. In the lead up to the Olympics, Kaur proved to be a force to be reckoned with by breaking the national record twice this year. Although she did not make it to the podium, she did make millions proud for getting so far.
