Two arrested in connection to Chatham woman's murder

Chatham-Kent police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a woman in Chatham. The arrests followed an investigation into the incident.

On June 4, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a 44-year-old man and a 59-year-old man, both from Chatham, were taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. The suspects were transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Both men appeared in court on June 5, 2024, and were remanded into custody. Their next court date is scheduled for June 19, 2024.

Authorities have stated that this is considered an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
