It’s time to vote for The State’s high school spring sports Athletes of the Week from Midlands-area high schools and games played March 27 to April 1. Voting ends Saturday at noon. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Girls sports nominees. Cast your vote below bios

Annie Andrews, Dreher soccer: Junior had six goals and two assists in Blue Devils’ two wins. Dreher is in first place in Region 5-3A.

Victoria Coleman, Airport soccer: Freshman had three goals and five assists in two region matches last week.

Abigail Davis, Irmo lacrosse: Junior scored 13 goals, had two assists and won 51% of draws in Yellow Jackets’ three matches last week.

Eason Davis, Chapin softball: Davis hit .667 with a double, triple and RBI plus didn’t make an error in six fielding chances.

Kenzie Holliday, River Bluff softball: Sophomore went 2-for-5 and four RBIs in Gators’ region win over White Knoll.

Brooke Holmes, Chapin lacrosse: Sophomore had 14 goals and three assists as Eagles went 2-1 in three matches last week.

Ayden Leaphart, Gilbert softball: Junior shortstop hit .750 on the week with a pair of doubles and four RBIs.

Aubre Moore, Lugoff-Elgin softball: Junior was 9-for-13 on the week with seven stolen bases for L-E.

Brianna Rodriguez, Westwood track and field: Senior won the 100- and 400-meter hurdles at Friday’s Blazer Twilight at Ridge View.

Gracie Scott, Lexington softball: First baseman went 4-for-9 with two RBIs for the Wildcats, who went 3-0 last week.

Brooklin Thomas, Gray Collegiate softball: Duke commit went 5-for-6 with three RBIs in three games and scored the winning run against Boiling Springs on Thursday.

Kiarra Thomas, Spring Valley softball: Thomas was 10-for-17 with four homers, two triples, 15 RBIs, nine runs scored and three stolen bases. As a pitcher, she struck out 20 batters in two appearances.

Foster Apple, Chapin baseball: Apple was 8-for-11 with three extra-base hits, three stolen bases and two saves in the Eagles’ three-game sweep over Dutch Fork.

JC Blackwelder, AC Flora soccer: Junior had four goals and two assists in Falcons’ two wins last week.

Tripp Bryant, River Bluff soccer: Bryant had three goals as Gators won both of their matches last week.

Patrick Daniels, Camden baseball: Daniels was 5-for-7 with a homer, five RBIs and three stolen bases in Bulldogs’ three games.

Tyler Green, Chapin lacrosse: Senior had 11 goals and four assists in Eagles’ two games last week.

Zachary Hart, Gray Collegiate soccer: Senior had seven goals, five coming against Camden, and an assist in War Eagles’ three matches last week.

Grant Loggins, AC Flora baseball: Senior struck out 12, allowed one run on four hits over six innings in a win over Richland Northeast.

David McElveen, Ben Lippen baseball: McElveen was 5-for-7 with three RBIs in two games against Cardinal Newman.

Blaine Redmond, Gray Collegiate baseball: Redmond allowed no runs on one hit over 5.1 innings in a 4-0 win over Wilson Hall. At the plate, Redmond was 6-for-7 with six RBIs in four games last week.

Preston Sease, Swansea baseball: Sease struck out 10 in a complete-game win over Lower Richland on Tuesday and was 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs on Friday against the Diamond Hornets.

Cam Sutton, Lexington baseball: In three relief appearances, Sutton was 1-0 with 10 strikeouts, allowed two hits, no runs in 7.1 innings as Wildcats went 4-0 last week.

Hayden Thomas, Brookland-Cayce baseball: Senior allowed one earned run on four hits while striking out eight in a win over Dreher on Tuesday. At the plate, he was 4-for-10 with a homer and four RBIs in B-C’s three games.
