Former boxer Mike Tyson was apparently seen repeatedly punching a fellow airplane passenger in a fit of rage, in a video released on Thursday.

The former heavyweight champion was on an evening flight from San Francisco to Florida when a fellow traveller asked for a photograph.

Tyson is said to have been relaxed at first, but became increasingly agitated by the man and his “overexcited” friend, according to TMZ.

Footage of the incident shows the passenger talking to the former heavyweight champion from a row behind him, apparently in the business class section.

A witness told TMZ that Tyson, 55, asked the passenger to leave him alone, but the situation escalated and a video shows the former boxer raining down punches on the passenger.

“Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Mike, come on, stop that,” a man is heard saying on the phone footage.

Another video from the flight shows the aftermath of the incident, with the man sporting traces of blood on his forehead.

'My boy just got beat up by Mike Tyson,' said the man shooting the video. 'Yeah, he got f----- up.'

The victim reportedly received medical attention and went to the police, but it is unclear if Tyson is being investigated over the incident.

Neither Tyson, Jet Blue or local police have replied to requests for comment so far.
