White House holds press briefing: Watch live

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will hold a media briefing Thursday afternoon.

The briefing comes as President Biden continues to place pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about working toward a cease-fire and hostage swap with Hamas, as well as moving more humanitarian assistance into Gaza.

The briefing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. EDT.
