Federal prosecutors announced charges Thursday for what they are calling a massive criminal enterprise involving contract killings and drugs from inside prison walls. Authorities have charged 25 people with crimes ranging from racketeering to murder at three California state prisons: High Desert Prison in Lassen County, Calipatria State Prison in Imperial County and Folsom State Prison in Sacramento County.
