Wreckage from what is said to be the missing MH370 plane has reportedly been found.

The debris from a Boeing 777 - the same model as the missing jet - washed up on the coast of Mozambique this weekend, according to a U.S. official.

Investigators are now examining the find to determine whether it is definitely from the Malaysia Airlines plane that vanished two years ago.

No traces of the plane’s whereabouts have ever been found, except for a single flatiron that washed up on Reunion Island last July (above).

The latest piece of wreckage is apparently a piece of horizontal stabiliser skin from the missing flight.

Two more objects thought to have been from the missing airliner were later ruled out after officials in Malaysia examined them.

Experts believe the debris found over the weekend is from MH370 as there are no records of any other Boeing 777 missing.

Flight MH370 disappeared on March 8, 2014 - along with 239 people who were on board at the time.

Despite a mammoth investigation, no definite cause of what happened to the plane or its whereabouts have so far been determined.
