Zayn Malik's 1st post-One Direction demo, I Won't Mind, released

One Direction fans are getting their first listen to a Zayn Malik solo song, less than one week after the 22 year old quit the wildly popular British boy band.

Despite claims Malik left the band to pursue a more "normal" lifestyle, he appears to be working on a solo career, as evident in I Won't Mind, a track posted online by British music producer Naughty Boy.

"Let the music do the talking guys," Naughty Boy posted on Twitter Monday with a link to a now disabled song on Soundcloud.

"There is nothing but love for what was left behind. [That's] why we don't mind," reads the song's description on the music sharing site.

It's not clear why the link was disabled, but Billboard posted a link to a YouTube video that includes the raw, acoustic track.

"Don't look around cause love is blind and darling right now I can't see you," croons Malik on the demo that was reportedly recorded over the weekend.

"I feel your pulse, slowing down and down, I can feel you. Cause we are who we are, when no one's watching," he sings.

Louis Tomlinson calls release 'inconsiderate'

Naughty Boy, a 30-year-old music producer, DJ and songwriter whose real name is Shahid Khan, is said to have released the song hours after having an online argument with Louis Tomlinson, one of Malik's former One Direction bandmates.

Tomlinson appeared irritated by Naughty Boy and the way the song was released.

"Wow @NaughtyBoyMusic you're so inconsiderate pal," tweeted Tomlinson. "Seriously how f--king old are you? Grow up!"

Tomlinson and One Direction's other remaining members — Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne — are currently completing the band's "One the Road Again" world tour without Malik.

When Malik first announced his departure, the foursome released a statement saying that they respected Malik's decision and affirmed that they would "always be friends."

It's not clear how they will feel if Malik goes ahead with a solo career. Malik has remained silent since I Won't Mind's release.
