Ariana Grande Can’t Stop Showing Off Her Flippy Brunette Bob — See Photos

Ariana Grande has been in a blonde period for literal years now, but she may just be longing to return to her brunette roots.

When we first met Ariana Grande way back in her Victorious days, her dark hair was frequently dyed a bright cherry red for her role as Cat Valentine. The red lasted until Victorious and Sam & Cat wrapped, and then Grande was back to her natural dark hair. She went blonde during the Sweetener phase of her career, dyed her hair dark again, then returned to a golden shade to play the iconic Good Witch, Glinda, in the forthcoming Wicked movie adaptation.

Grande has been blonde since late 2022 but now seems to be enjoying what is probably a brief foray back to brunette, which she can't stop showing off on social media.

In her new music video for "The Boy is Mine," Grande rocks a flippy brunette bob with a black catsuit and matching hat with cat ears as she stalks You star Penn Badgley in a clever reversal of roles.

Grande's bob, which hits just above her collarbone and is a lovely shade of chocolate brown, makes plenty of appearances in Grande's latest Instagram carousel of BTS pics from the video shoot, and it's so cute we see why she keeps posting it. Maybe when the Wicked movies are wrapped and released, she'll take a break from Glinda's pink and blonde in favor of dark and dangerous. (Don't worry — her signature cat eye liner isn't going anywhere.)

Grande is not the only one feeling the new 'do, fans are loving the look, too. "So pretty," wrote celeb hairstylist Chris Appleton under her post. "The HAIR!! You're so cute," wrote a fan. Some were surprised to see a return to brunette after years of blonde Ari. "Brown hair? Who's this," commented a fan account. "Trying not to say mother challenge." Um, same!
