Did Kristen Wiig and Ellen sing the worst cover of 'Let It Go'? Not even close

If you think Kristen Wiig and Ellen DeGeneres just sang the worst rendition of the "Frozen" theme song, you better let it go.

On Monday's episode of "The Ellen DeGenerous Show," the talk show host and her guest both admitted they did not know the words to the Disney film's Oscar-winning song "Let It Go."

"I'm probably one of the only human beings on this planet that doesn't know that song," Ellen said.

Wiig replied, "I just know that the words 'let it go' are in there. I assume they're in there."

What better time to try and sing it? "We will be the worst of all the videos," Ellen said, before the duo proceeded to perform what many did consider to be one of the worst renditions of the song ever -- and that's saying a lot, considering how many are out there.

But is it really that bad? Let's compare it to some other famously butchered versions of the tune:

These U.S. Marines seemed more concerned with bouncing to the chorus of the tune --which is the only part they really seemed to know. They looked sweet doing it, though, particularly when they danced in their seats!

Bane wasn't even that interesting a villain in "The Dark Knight Rises," so this Bane/"Frozen" mash-up is just bizarre.

This "Let It Go" parody (with lyrics changed to being about a mom) is difficult to listen to - even with the equalizer!

Points for the costume, but this cover of "Let It Go" is otherwise not great (not least of which is because of the terrible sound quality). Uploaded by Ramon De La Cuesta García-Vaso in December, it has almost 7,000 views -- probably because you have to hear it to believe it.

After all that, Kristen and Ellen's version practically sounds like Idina Menzel quality, right? No? Well, here's the original version of the song by Menzel to clean out your ears:
