As we get deeper into the season, a lot of conference title races are heating up, especially in the Big 12 and Pac-12. And with the first College Football Playoff rankings on tap for next week, the pressure continues to mount on the top-ranked teams.

The test was passed by the nation's elite on Saturday, with No. 1 Georgia taking care of business in a rivalry against Florida with a 42-20 victory and No. 3 Tennessee bludgeoning No. 19 Kentucky 44-6. That sets up a massive clash next week in Athens between those two undefeated SEC powers.

Elsewhere, No. 2 Ohio State pulled away from No. 13 Penn State 44-31 late after trailing in the fourth quarter in a rough road matchup. No. 4 Michigan didn't have much trouble beating Michigan State 29-7.

In the Big 12, No. 7 TCU avoided an upset scare at West Virginia with a 41-31 win that also delivered a bat beat in the betting world.
