Corrie's David and Daniel to face suspicion over Nathan attack
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's David Platt and Daniel Osbourne will both face suspicion next week, after returning villain Nathan Curtis is violently attacked.
Since Bethany Platt discovered that her former abuser Nathan, who groomed her and tried to traffic her in 2017, has been released from prison and is working as a builder in the Weatherfield area, she has been convinced that he has something to do with missing teenager Lauren Bolton's disappearance.
In scenes that will air on Wednesday, May 15 and Friday, May 17, Bethany continues to investigate Nathan's potential involvement and she quizzes her friend, police officer Craig Tinker, on Nathan's alibi for Lauren's disappearance.

When Craig lets slip that Nathan was with his girlfriend, who works at a nail bar in town, Bethany points out that Nathan was running a tanning salon at the time he was grooming her.
Sarah Barlow later confides in her ex, Gary Windass, that she's worried about Bethany, as her daughter becomes increasingly fixated on trying to pin Lauren's murder on Nathan.
Later, as Bethany heads out with Daniel, they're shocked to be confronted by Nathan, who lays into Bethany for harassing his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, in the Rovers, David, Sarah and Gary talk about Nathan and agree that something needs to be done, before he ruins Bethany's life all over again.
Over at the building site, Nathan is packing up when a mystery hooded figure approaches and strikes him over the head, knocking Nathan unconscious.
Later in the week, as Bethany wonders who could have attacked Nathan, Shona Platt quizzes husband David about the suspicious stain on his jeans and is unconvinced by his story.

David assures Bethany and Sarah that he didn't attack Nathan, but they're shocked when Shona appears brandishing the tracking app on David's phone, which proves that he was at the building site at the time Nathan was knocked out.
David admits that he did witness the attack but claims that he wasn't responsible for it. This leaves Bethany convinced that Daniel is to blame, but will she be proved right?

Actor Chris Harper, who has returned to the soap as Nathan, has revealed that he is delighted to be back on the cobbles, particularly with Nathan already under suspicion again.
"He is funny, deceitful, slippery, manipulative and ruthless," he said. "Now he is also under a lot of pressure too. This new storyline is absolutely full of twists."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
