Court records reveal who’s lining up to buy land from bankrupt Fresno farming company

More than 13,000 acres of prime farmland is for sale in the central San Joaquin Valley with everyone from small farmers to corporate growers making a play to buy parts of it.

The farmland, centered in Fresno and Tulare counties, is what’s left of the Prima Wawona company, the one-time industry leader that is now liquidating its assets after filing for bankruptcy last fall.

Although the bankruptcy is not final, interest in the vast acreage of peaches, plums nectarines and citrus is extremely high.

Court records detail who has come forward and made an offer on parts of the company’s farms.

The list includes who the buyer is, the size of the property and the farmer offer.
