Crows stop plane from landing on Gander runway

A murder of crows caused a plane flying from Ireland to be delayed landing in Gander over the weekend.

A preliminary report from Transport Canada said an American corporate British Aerospace plane was cleared to land at Gander International Airport around 1 p.m. Sunday but was told to pull up because of crows in the area.

The plane later landed on a different runway. The report said the bird patrol was called and responded.

No one was injured.
