Xennial Dee shared his reasoning for why he thinks the famous popsicle stick has taken its last bow

Recently, one TikToker shared their fairly convincing theory about the fate of Nickelodeon's Stick Stickly. In the comedic video, "Xennial Dee" shares that he recently mailed a letter to the “'90s superstar.”

The creator's username is a nod at "Xennial" — a combination of Generation X and Millennial, or people born in the late '70s and early '80s. “If you were born between 1977 and 1985, Stick Stickly was a huge part of your childhood,” Dee explains in the video, now viewed more than 61,000 times.

“I have all the proof that you need,” he continues, referring to his claim that the inanimate object has “died” because of his lack of response.

“I got the return to sender,” he says, showing off an invitation he mailed to PO Box 963, New York City, New York State, 10108 — the famous address the character used to give out and invite fans to write to.

In response to the notion that a return to sender doesn’t mean the worst, Dee says, “If he was just going to move, he would tell us.”

In the mid '90s, Stick Stickly — a popsicle stick adorned with googly eyes, a yellow nose and small grin — was a Nickelodeon mainstay, making his first appearance in 1995 as part of Nick in the Afternoon. Though his tenure on network ended in 1998, in 2011 he made his return to host "UPick with Stick” as part of TeenNick’s The '90s Are All That, Entertainment Weekly reported at the time. Paul Christie was even slated to voice the character, as he had done with the original more than 15 years prior.

Per BuzzFeed, Stick Stickly's return to the network ended in 2012.

Other TikTok users flocked to the comments section to share in their distress over the “news.”

“None of my friends remember him… I thought I imagined him… now he’s gone….I feel horrible,” one commenter wrote, while another related to Dee’s recollection of Stick Stickly’s address jingle.

“Glad I’m no the only one who can still sing the address ​​😂,” another wrote.
