Doja Cat Wears a Wet Look to 2024 Met Gala, Complete with Runny Mascara
Doja Cat is ready to paint the town wet!
The musician may have come as a Karl Lagerfeld's cat to last year's Met Gala — but this year, she went for a radically different look.
Doja, 28, dressed for the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”-themed event on May 6 in a sheer white fabric that appeared to be wet. Her glam included black mascara "tears."
Before arriving at the Met on May 6, she left The Mark Hotel wrapped in a white towel (with another wrapped on her head).
For last year's event in honor of Lagerfeld, famously known for his work at Chanel — and also famously known for his cat, Choupette — Doja wore a jaw-dropping Oscar de la Renta ensemble featuring a figure-fitting hooded gown complete with cat ears. The backless dress had a flattering mermaid silhouette that flowed into a white feathered train.
She kept things feline-forward, wearing prosthetics to make her face appear more cat-like. She topped off the look with a custom Messika diamond headpiece with a 17-carat pear-shaped diamond and a custom-made Messika arm piece with two pear-shaped diamonds of 2.5 and 4.5 carats of diamonds.
In an interview with Vogue on the red carpet, the "Need to Know" singer said she was thrilled with her unusual look. "I'm very, very excited and I love it," she said.

While on the arm of Vetements designer Guram Gvasalia, Doja Cat strutted in her white linens and black heels into a Cartier store in Manhattan.
