Ginny & Georgia star Brianne Howey has announced she is pregnant with her first child.

The actress, who plays Georgia Miller on the Netflix show, took to Instagram to reveal the good news, showcasing her bump as she prepared to attend a Hugo Boss fashion show, writing: "@boss show with my forever new +1. Thanks for having us! Loved every second of the new collection."

Representatives for the actress and her husband Matt Ziering said they were "so happy for Brianne and this exciting new chapter" (via PEOPLE). The pair married in 2021, following a delay after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Howey's castmates from the show congratulated her on the news, with Antonia Gentry writing: "So. happy. for. you." and Diesel La Torroca, who plays Georgia's son Austin, commented: "I can't wait to be a big brother!!! Sooooooo excited."

The Netflix show aired its second season earlier this year, with a third season expected to follow in the near future. Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Zion actor Nathan Mitchell teased what could be next following the cliffhanger in the latest episode.

"I know. It can't just be like that," he said of the prospect of the show ending on a major bombshell. "I would like to go further with what we explored this season. So exploring another dimension of Zion and Ginny's relationship – the father/daughter relationship.

"And [I would] also [like to] explore more of Zion and Georgia's coparenting relationship," he continued. "I'd love to see where things go with Simone. I think it's always fun when you throw Georgia in the mix there, where you have those three together, and have them navigate this new dynamic that they exist in."

Despite a third season not being officially greenlit thus far, creator Sarah Lampert promised it would be a "wild ride" when speaking to Deadline, adding: "We have so many golden possibilities for storytelling based on how rich these characters are. Based on how many surprises we want to throw into season 3 that I'm being coy about but we do have it planned out."

Ginny and Georgia is now available to watch on Netflix.
