“High Potential” is based on the French series “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI).” Kaitlin Olson stars in the American version as Morgan, a single mother with a 160 IQ who works as a cleaning lady for the LAPD until she demonstrates that her intelligence gives her a unique knack for solving crimes.

Along with Olson, the series also stars Daniel Sunjata as Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot and Judy Reyes as Selena.

The show has proven popular with viewers since its launch. Per ABC, the pilot episode has racked up nearly 30 million viewers across all platforms since its debut.

Drew Goddard developed the series for American television and serves as executive producer via Goddard Textiles along with Sarah Esberg. Todd Harthan serves as showrunner and executive producer. Olson is a producer on the series in addition to starring. 20th Television produces, with Harthan currently under an overall deal at the studio.

This is the second ABC series renewal announced today. It was previously reported that the single-cam comedy “Abbott Elementary” has been renewed for Season 5. Olson and her fellow “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” cast members recently guest starred on that show.
