Hollyoaks' Abe threatened over Arlo lies

Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Tuesday.

Hollyoaks’ Abe Fielding was threatened after he was found to have lied in his ongoing storyline with little brother Arlo.

Abe had harboured a secret ever since his arrival in the village, with the character acting decidedly shifty regarding the whereabouts of Arlo.

It was later revealed that Abe had staged the kidnapping of Arlo in order to keep him away from their mother Marie, who had recently arrived in the village, with the abduction being ordered by Abe’s father.

After seeing how much the revelation could hurt Marie, Abe decided to change sides, with tonight’s (May 6) first-look episode beginning as young Arlo celebrated his birthday.

After receiving a family photo as a gift, Arlo wandered away from the party as he met with his step-mother Demi, who revealed that his father was in Paris.

Demi attempted to sweet talk Arlo by giving him a tablet as a gift, before she revealed her plan to whisk Arlo away to France.

Just as she escorted him into the car, Joel, Abe, Marie and Cleo began to search for Arlo, with Abe having a word with Demi as he went back on the plan.

Demi labelled him a hypocrite as she reminded him of his own involvement with the abduction, issuing a threat that he should come clean to his family.

Abe and Cleo later assured Marie that Arlo would be safe after Demi had left, but there was a twist in store.

Marie picked up Arlo’s tablet, which included an incriminating video as Abe was seen staging a video with Arlo following the abduction.

With Marie’s new-found knowledge, will the family be torn apart again?

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
