Hollyoaks airs gun twist for Freddie Roscoe in cliffhanger scene
Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Thursday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Friday.
Hollyoaks aired a twist for Freddie Roscoe as the recently-returned character brandished a gun in a cliffhanger scene.
Freddie returned to the village earlier this week (April 2) after a seven-year absence, with the character coming back to protect Mercedes McQueen after Warren Fox spiralled out of control.
Freddie has also been hiding something, and tonight's (April 4) first-look episode began as he tried breaking into his old house, which is now occupied by Lizzie Chen-Williams.

She eventually lets him in after initially mistaking him for a burglar, with Hunter confirming that he had returned to the village to help Mercedes.
Unbeknownst to Lizzie, Freddie wasn't merely taking a walk down memory lane, and had specifically returned to the house in order to retrieve a specific item. He later makes an excuse to go to the bathroom, but heads to the bedroom where he removes the skirting board, picking up a gun that had been stashed there.
He has to improvise when Lizzie finds him in the wrong room, and quickly takes off his shirt as he lies that his plan all along was to draw Lizzie to the bedroom.

Smitten Lizzie falls for his quick-thinking, with the pair get to know each other very quickly as they each get more than they bargained for. Fresh from his romantic encounter, he makes his way to Darren and Mercedes at Daz's Taxis, where he stashes the gun.
Unbeknownst to him, a mystery person was watching as Freddie hid the firearm; who is the unknown figure and what exactly do they want with Freddie?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
