Inside the Tonys 2024 Afterparties: Angelina Jolie and Daughter Vivienne Celebrate and More Fun Highlights
Angelina Jolie, Daniel Radcliffe, Billy Porter and more toasted their big nights at the Tony Awards with celebratory outings in New York City
Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne had a big night at the 2024 Tony Awards after their musical The Outsiders won for best musical, best lighting design of a musical and best sound design of a musical — but they weren't the only ones toasting a successful evening. Other big names — including Daniel Radcliffe, Billy Eichner, Ariana DeBose, Jonathan Groff and Billy Porter — were all seen out enjoying Broadway's biggest night.

Several afterparties kicked off around the city after the annual award show — which took place at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater in New York City — including an official gala afterparty at Lincoln Center, an Outsiders gathering at Rosa Mexicana and a celebration for the cast of Merrily We Roll Along at the Ascent Lounge in Columbus Circle.
Jolie, 49, and her daughter, 15, were spotted kicking it with their Outsiders family at Rosa Mexicana, where Sky Lakota-Lynch greeted guests outside. Jolie herself spent quality time with Vivienne in a private room reserved just for company members and even rocked a new dress for the occasion.
At the Tonys, Jolie could be seen in a custom light-teal Atelier Versace strapless gown. Her afterparty look included a sleek sleeveless black dress, while posing with partygoers as her daughter smiled and chatted with friends at a table around 12 a.m.
Down the block at the Ascent, the Merrily We Roll Along cast celebrated their best musical revival win, as director Maria Friedman and first-time Tony winner Radcliffe, 34, spent time with his partner Erin Drake and pals in a roped-off section.
The Harry Potter alum thanked both his longtime girlfriend and their one-year-old son during his best performance by a featured actor in a musical acceptance speech. "And my love Erin — you and our son are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you so much, thank you so much. Thank you everybody," he said at the time.
Radcliffe and Drake ended up party-hopping and caught up with costar Lindsay Mendez and her husband J. Alex Brinson, who are expecting their first child together. Asked by a friend if she’s party-hopping too, she joked, “No, I’m taking my pregnant ass home!”
Award nominees and recipients then flocked to Carlyle Hotel, where John Gore, Rick Miramontez and Jamie DuMont hosted their get-together. Around 1 a.m., guests included Cabaret star Eddie Redmayne, Billy Eichner, Marla Mindelle, Michael Arden, Andy Mientus, Kara Young and more. Billy Stritch played piano, Jim Caruso sang some standards and Nicole Scherzinger could be seen chatting with friends at a bar.
Around 2 a.m., Sarah Paulson was greeted by several congratulatory messages — even one from Dylan Mulvaney, who she told: “Of course I know who you are!” Paulson took home the award for best performance by a leading actress in a play Sunday night for her work on Appropriate.

Other celebrity encounters included a conversation between Ariana DeBose, Ashley Park and Julianne Hough — as well as Porter sitting down with producer Sue Wagner. At one point, Tony winner Keisha Lewis danced with her award in her hand, Leslie Odom Jr. and wife Nicolette Robinson caught up with friends and Paulson joked about not wanting to "live in the Carlyle" as security began to lock up when the party finally wrapped.
The 77th Tony Awards aired live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday night and a recap of this year's winners can be viewed here.
