Jonathan Bailey Looks Dashing in Custom Loewe at the Met Gala
Jonathan Bailey, star of Fellow Travelers and Bridgerton, has returned to the Met Gala.
The actor arrived on the green carpet in a custom Loewe outfit that featured a double-breasted white suit jacket. In place of a tie or bowtie, Bailey wore an oversized floral embellishment.
It's just his second appearance at the event; at last year's gala, Bailey kept it simple in a Tom Ford tuxedo, complete with a velvet blazer.
Season three, part one, of Bridgerton premieres next week, and Bailey will reprise his role as Lord Anthony Bridgerton. In the show's third chapter, Anthony and Kate (Simone Ashley) return from their honeymoon. "The romance genre, rightly so, is being given a platform in Bridgeton that it completely deserves. It's the most joyful, optimistic, expansive narrative that you can absorb yourself into. Of course I believe in that," Bailey told Town & Country around the premiere of season two.
In season three, Ashley teased that "Kate and Anthony are just getting started." She added, "In season two, there was a lot of push and pull between Kate and Anthony, there were complications with the family, and then they find each other towards the end. I think everything is just starting. I’d like to see Kate just let go a bit more and play more in season three and kind of swim in that circle of love together. I think they both deserve it."
Bailey joined other Bridgerton stars at the "Garden of Time" themed Met Gala this year, including Ashley and Phoebe Dynevor.
