Julia Fox appears to come out: 'I was that lesbian. So sorry, boys'

The "Uncut Gems" actress was responding to a viral meme on TikTok.

Julia Fox appeared to come out as a lesbian Monday with a repost on TikTok.

The actor shared a clip by queer comedian Gracin that's been making the rounds. She says to the camera, "I love when I see a lesbian with their boyfriend. It's like ah, you hate that man."

Fox reposted that comment and added to it: "That was me. I was that lesbian. So sorry, boys. Won't happen again."

Fox, also a music artist and author, is perhaps best known for her performance in Adam Sandler's 2019 movie Uncut Gems, in which she played Julia De Fiore, the mistress and employee of Sandler's Howard Ratner. For her work, she was honored with awards from the Chicago Film Critics Association, Toronto Film Critics, the Gotham Awards, and others.

Off-screen, she made headlines in 2022 for briefly dating Kanye West.

In an October appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show, she told the host that she had "sworn off men."

Barrymore then asked that what she was looking for in a relationship.

"It would need to be someone who also has to have kids, so they understand that they can never come first. That's a big one," Fox said. "Then it would have to be someone that's OK with seeing me once a week for a two-hour window. Also, they have a driving force in their life that, like, isn't me."

Fox is the mother of a toddler son, Valentino, whom she shares with her former husband, pilot Peter Artemiev. They were married from 2018 to 2020.
