Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Have a Glam Red Carpet Date Night at the Time100 Gala

The couple stepped out to celebrate Ripa, who was named as one of Time100’s most influential people of 2024

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are cozying up for a glam red carpet moment.

The pair, both 53, stepped out in elegant ensembles for the Time100 Gala in New York City on Thursday, April 25. Ripa wore a dark maroon floor-length gown with a satin ivory blazer draped across her shoulders.

The morning talk show host completed the look with a large black clutch and pointed-toe heels that matched the color of her gown — and the red carpet!

Meanwhile, Consuelos opted for a classic black suit and tie and a pair of black leather loafers.

Before heading out to the event, Ripa posted a photo sans jacket that showed off her dress in more detail, including the ruffled collar and side cut-outs.

The veteran daytime talk show host is being honored as one of Time100’s most influential people of 2024. She currently hosts Live! With Kelly and Mark alongside Consuelos, her husband of 28 years.

“Kelly is impossibly self-deprecating and would never admit it, but she is one of the greatest broadcasters in television history, and she continues to reach new heights,” Anderson Cooper wrote of Ripa for TIME.

“She wrote a best-selling memoir, started a popular podcast, and welcomed a new co-host, her husband of nearly 28 years, Mark Consuelos," Cooper continued. "Would audiences want to watch a happily married couple who’ve raised three genuinely good kids? Yes. The ratings are up, and Kelly has never been better.”

Consuelos began hosting the show in April 2023 following Ryan Seacrest’s exit from the series. During the April 17 episode of Ripa’s Let's Talk Off Camera podcast, the Riverdale actor said he and Ripa were both initially opposed to the idea of him joining her as cohost.

"So, when they asked me, we both said, 'No, this is insane. We can't do this,’” Consuelos recalled. "I'm like, 'No, you know, no.' The answer was no, but we'll talk about it, but just kind of try to get them off our back a little bit."

However, after discussing “key deciding factors,” the couple decided it would be a great way to spend more time together.

“I had been gone so much. I’d been in different countries, different states, on a damn airplane every week, if not twice a week," Consuelos shared.

“I was kinda tired of living by myself," he added. "I don’t sleep well, like away from you. I literally don’t sleep.”

The couple, who met working on the set of All My Children, recently enjoyed a weekend getaway in the coastal city of Tangier. Ripa shared snaps of the trip, which included beautiful architecture and lush greenery, to her Instagram Stories on April 21.
