Kelsea Ballerini Shows All — and We Mean“ All! ”— the Behind-the-Scenes Action from Her 2024 Met Gala Debut!

Kelsea Ballerini rocked the event, and she's sharing a sneak peek of the before, during, and after as she heads back into the studio

Kelsea Ballerini had a 2024 Met Gala debut for the books.

Decked out in Michael Kors Collection and with boyfriend Chase Stokes by her side, the country music star, by all accounts, was the belle of the May 6 ball.

Of course, there was so much more joy happening behind the scenes, and Ballerini just shared those special, and at times wild, moments in two separate posts on Instagram.

"Truly a night and experience i’ll never forget going to the met gala for the first time," Ballerini said in a post that kicked off with the star in her afterparty outfit, a cheeky camel bra, panties and oversize blazer.

In the next photo, her makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher can be seen applying CoverGirl Exhibitionist Lipstick in Coral Dreams on her lips, after which she made the world's cutest pose (above).

Fun fact: Ballerini also debuted a top-secret CoverGirl mascara dropping May 15!

Ballerini's post included several more behind the scenes slides (spot Chase Stokes in the background!). In her caption, she shared her "endless gratitude" to her "dream team" as well as designer Michael Kors "for bringing this into bloom."

For the event, she wore a suntan tulle gown with scattered floral appliqués. Per a release, it took eight artisans over 3,550 hours to hand-sew the appliqués (which were each individually hand-dyed) onto the fabric.

Ballerini's wild night also included tons of pizza and a shot (maybe more?). The star also posted herself with a bagful of potato chips the morning after.

"Typing this while heading back to the studio to finish up the record. feeling really lucky and thankful," she said in closing.

In another post which she hilariously captioned, "i love new york city but i can’t stay at the carlyle anymore," Ballerini was snapped lying next to multiple pizza boxes and bags of salty snacks, high-fiving Michael Kors and showing off her updo (which was created by hairstylist Peter Lux using Pantene's Pro-Vitamin Repair Essence and silk flowers.

A laugh-out-loud TikTok uploaded to the post summed up the fun she had.

"I've really wanted to go to the Met Gala for years and years and I really wanted to get invited one day and then I looked at myself," she says as she stands up to reveal her outfit: a gray tank, pink shorts and. a green scrunchie.

Then she laughs: "Fashion, baby!"
