Matthew McConaughey's Niece Margarita Celebrates Quinceañera with Lavish Party — and Dances with Uncle in Viral Video

The actor celebrated his older brother Rooster's daughter at her birthday party

Matthew McConaughey celebrated his niece Margarita’s 15th birthday in the spirit of tradition at her all-out quinceañera.

The Interstellar actor, 54, appeared alongside his brother Rooster’s family in footage captured on the day of the party. Matthew can be seen laughing beside Margarita — whom the video refers to as Maggie — and helping her style her hair in a series of clips shared on TikTok by Mes Lab Studio, a West Texas-based studio owned by New York photographer Iovany Galindo.

While Rooster, 69, dressed formally in slacks and a suit jacket, his younger brother kept his look more casual in jeans and a brown cowboy hat.

The quinceañera compilation also saw Matthew seemingly delivering a speech into a microphone during the event. In another scene from the party, the proud uncle danced with Margarita.

According to the TikTok recap, Maggie wore two different outfits on the day of her quinceañera. She can be seen dancing with her friends and posing for photos in a denim mini dress, then later wearing a white ball gown and glittering crown while making emotional memories inside the venue.

Rooster is also dad to sons Madison and Miller Lyte McConaughey. The businessman has previously spoken to PEOPLE about his younger two kids’ beverage-inspired names.

“I named my [3½-year-old] boy Miller Lyte because that’s my favorite beer. And my [11-month-old] little girl is named Margarita Olympia ... I liked that beer, too, even though they don’t even make it anymore,” Rooster said in 2010.

Matthew shares his own three kids — Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11 — with wife Camila Alves McConaughey.

The Oscar winner’s own brood didn’t appear on video at Maggie’s party, but the family of five stepped out for a black-tie outing just days earlier at the 12th annual Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala in Austin, Texas.

Brothers Levi and Livingston matched with their dad in black suits, while Vida opted for a pink gown to contrast against her model mom’s black sequin number.
