"It makes it easy because the fans know exactly what the show is. It's about Tony and Ziva in Europe," de Pablo teased as Weatherly revealed that the series will begin production this summer.

She continued, “I expect intrigue, romance, the background of Europe, impossible situations that will make our life very complicated but somehow a little something about love.”

After cracking jokes about what's to come, Weatherly and de Pablo bid each other adieu with promises to reunite on set.

"I'll see you in Europe, chérie," de Pablo winked.

In late February, CBS announced that the pair would come together for a brand new show. The 10-episode series will see de Pablo and Weatherly on screen together for the first time in a decade.

After making his NCIS debut in 2003, Weatherly ended his tenure on the crime procedural in 2016. As for de Pablo, her character was seemingly killed off in season 13 — the year before Weatherly's exit in 2015.

According to the show's official synopsis, NCIS: Tony & Ziva will pick up about Ziva's "supposed death."

“Tony left the NCIS team to go raise their daughter. Years later, Ziva was discovered alive, leading her to complete one final mission with NCIS before she was reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris,” the synopsis reads. “Since then – and where we find them in the new Paramount+ original series – Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, Tali, together."

"When Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after," it concluded.
