Mon Sheong Golden Jubilee Scholarship: $4K award for 2 'exceptional' high school graduates

The Mon Sheong Golden Jubilee Scholarship is now open for applications from graduating high school students.

This prestigious scholarship aims to recognize well-rounded excellence and promote future leadership among the younger generation, according to the Mon Sheong Foundation website.

High school graduates who have shown outstanding achievements in community service and academics are eligible to apply.

Jo-Cy Lee, vice president of Mon Sheong Foundation, stated, "We established this scholarship to encourage students to continue their diligent studies and give back to the community, hoping they can help build a better home together."

The judging panel will evaluate applicants based on academic achievements, dedication to volunteer work, personal leadership abilities, and character. Two exceptional students will be selected this year, each receiving $4,000 in scholarship funds to support their continued academic excellence, says the website.

The application deadline is July 10. Applications can be submitted online at monsheong.org/scholarship or by mail to the Mon Sheong Foundation's office in Richmond Hill (Corporate Office, Building C, 11211 Yonge St.).
