Queen Camilla Favors Shades of Blue and Lace Detailing in Dior Dress for Royal Ascot Day Two, Pays Homage to Queen Elizabeth II With Turquoise Brooch
Queen Camilla favored bright hues of blue and turquoise for the second day of Royal Ascot on Wednesday. The queen consort opted for an elegant design by one of France’s luxury fashion houses and paid homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II with a particular piece of jewelry.
For Wednesday’s Royal Ascot festivities, Queen Camilla wore a lace panel dress courtesy of Dior and carried a handbag by the French fashion house. The dress featured a pleated midi skirt and long sleeves, along with ornate white lace detailing on the bodice.

The queen consort maintained her dress as the focal point of her ensemble, fashioning taupe pumps by Eliot Zed. Queen Camilla continued the blue and turquoise color motif with a hat by Philip Treacy, which complemented her dress.
As for her accessories, the queen consort favored pieces by Van Cleef & Arpels. There was, however, a jewelry piece she wore that held sentimental value.
Queen Camilla wore a turquoise and diamond brooch from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s collection, which she fastened to the top left corner of the bodice of her dress.
The dazzling brooch features a turquoise stone at the center with diamonds surrounding the delicate gem. Queen Elizabeth II famously wore the piece during a tour of Malta in 2015. Her attire, similar to Queen Camilla’s Royal Ascot styling, coordinated with the color of the brooch.
Queen Camilla has fashioned a number of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry pieces in the very recent past.
Since Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022, the queen consort has worn tiaras, brooches and more from the late long-reigning monarch’s collection.
Royal Ascot is an annual occasion that often takes place during the month of June. Ascot itself is a famous racecourse, and Royal Ascot falls over a series of days in June and features horse races, colorful attire and more. Members of the British royal family attend the social event of the summer season regularly, with the monarch making an appearance nearly each year.
