Real-life Hollyoaks couple share family holiday snaps
Real-life Hollyoaks couple Rory Douglas Speed and Nadine Mulkerrin have shared some cute photos from their recent family holiday.
The pair, whose characters Joel Dexter and Cleo McQueen also dated on-screen, brought fans along for the fun as they've been spending time in Portugal with their two children and other family members.
Alongside photos showing Rory and Nadine posing with their little ones, the actress added a cheeky caption: "Wonderful fun in the sun with the family and cousins! Beautiful memories made… But nursery was welcomed this morning … Jesus Christ I'm knackered !!!!"
Rory also shared an adorable shot with Nadine on his Instagram account, drawing some lovely comments from current and former Hollyoaks stars.
"Good lord you two," James Sutton (aka John Paul McQueen) replied, with Kimberly Hart Simpson (who played Davina a few years ago) adding: "You two!"
The Hollyoaks couple met and fell in love while working on the show, subsequently announcing their plans to marry in the summer of 2019.
Nadine took her maternity leave from Hollyoaks last year before revealing that she'd decided to leave the soap for good.
"I have been blessed with so many incredible storylines, arriving with the Pete and Cleo storyline, the powerful sexual abuse storyline, and then the impactful bulimia storyline which crescendo'd on my wedding day to my real-life fiancé, meeting Rory, and joining at 21 and leaving eight years later its been an incredibly special job," she told Metro.
"I feel like I will miss everybody so much and it will always have a special place in my heart."
Rory remains on Hollyoaks and has recently been featured in an issue-based storyline where Joel Dexter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
From Monday, September 25, Hollyoaks will stream first online via Channel 4 each weekday. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
