The Responder star shares how show prepared him for Netflix's The Gentlemen
The Responder star Josh Finan has revealed how the BBC show prepared him for his part in The Gentlemen.
The Netflix series, a spin-off from Guy Ritchie's 2019 film, follows Edward Horniman (Theo James) as he inherits a huge estate. After discovering that the land houses a sprawling weed farm, Edward begins to encounter the deadly underground world.
Finan, who plays accountant Jethro in the show, will soon be seen on screen again as The Responder returns to the BBC for its second series on May 5.

Ahead of the drama's launch, Finan spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about the show, revealing that it informed his role on The Gentlemen.
"What doing something like The Responder really gives you, because you do it for a while and you really get into the swing of how the show was made, it just gives you kind of a relaxation," said the actor, who plays Marco on The Responder.
"I think on a set like The Gentlemen, which was very playful, that was key. And it's nice to be in similar worlds but different tones. It's fun."

The Responder follows PC Chris Carson (Martin Freeman), a first responder who struggles through a series of intense incidents in Liverpool. Freeman will reprise his role for the second series, which is set six months after the events of the first.
"[Carson] is trying to be a better police officer, a better man, and most importantly, a better father to his daughter Tilly," reads the logline. "All whilst still dealing with the relentless trauma of being a night response officer. Chris wants a day job. Chris needs a day job. But is he prepared to risk everything to get one?"
The Responder returns to BBC One at 9pm on May 5.
