Paulson is nominated for best performance by a leading actress in a play

Sarah Paulson brought someone very special for her big night at the 2024 Tony Awards: her girlfriend, Holland Taylor.
The couple walked the red carpet in coordinating couple style ahead of the ceremony. Paulson, 49, wore a custom white Prada gown featuring black sequin flowers and accessorized with Mindi Mond and Reza jewelry. She added a pop of color via a red lip. Taylor, 81, complemented her, wearing a black dress, crystal Prada bag and emerald jewelry.

She is up against Betsy Aidem, Jessica Lange, Rachel McAdams and Amy Ryan. Though this is far from Paulson's first Broadway role — her first gig was in 1994 in The Sisters Rosensweig — this is her first Tony nomination. She also starred in Colder Than Here, The Glass Menagerie, and Collected Stories.

On Instagram, the American Crime Story actress shared a photo of the duo smiling at The Yard House Times Square in New York City.
“I’ve typically been separated from my person on these kinds of nights. Not this time,” Paulson wrote in a caption. “Deserves the grid.”
Taylor highlighted Paulson's return to Broadway on Instagram as well (along with the actress' birthday), with a post, calling the performance an “incandescent, thrilling return, fiery and brave.”

In a November appearance on The View, Paulson opened up about her near-decade-long relationship with Taylor, saying, "I am thrilled and I feel very lucky to be with a person who is smarter, wiser, wittier than I, and that just makes my life better in every possible way."
Paulson continued, "She just also makes me feel seen, which I think is the most important gift you can give to any person."
The Tony Awards are airing live from Lincoln Center in New York City on Sunday, June 16, on CBS (8 ET/PT) and streaming on Paramount+.
