Two stabbed in early morning fight in NDG

Two people are in hospital after being stabbed during a fight in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce early Saturday morning.

Montreal police were called to an apartment near the corner of Monkland and Draper avenues at 1:30 a.m. after a fight broke out.

"It seems like a conflict concerning drugs began between two men," said Const. Manuel Couture.

"The conflict degenerated into an altercation and the two men stabbed each other."

A 20-year-old man is in hospital in serious condition. The other, 18, is also in hospital but with less serious injuries.

Couture says police will be speaking with witnesses and checking to see if there are any cameras near the scene.
