This week in KC: More than just music at Boulevardia, plus guide to Juneteenth events

Boulevardia, one of the area’s biggest annual festivals, will bring tons of talent to five musical stages this weekend, with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit headlining on June 16 and Surfaces on June 17.

But music won’t be the only draw to Grand Boulevard in the Crown Center area. Boulevardia will will offer a podcast stage, makers market, food trucks and beer from more than 50 craft breweries.

Hours will be 4-11 p.m. June 16 and 1-11 p.m. June 17. Tickets ($50-$55; special offerings $85-$150) and more information at boulevardia.com.

Also this weekend, most area Juneteenth celebrations will take place June 17 even though the holiday isn’t until June 19. The highlight is the JuneteenthKC Heritage Festival at the 18th & Vine District.
